Personal Coaching

What is coaching?

Coaching is simply a conversation(s) with someone, with the aim of unlocking the potential that already exists within you.

The coach’s role is to hold a mirror up to you, so you can see what is really going on in your situation. Coaches do not give you the answers, they act as an empathetic provocateur, helping you to find answers for yourself within a safe space.

Why Coaching?

Common reasons that people come to coaching include:

  • Feeling stuck in their current job or situation
  • Lacking confidence in a particular situation/setting
  • Having lots of ideas but unsure of how to execute them
  • Running low on ideas for a project
  • A sense of being unable to ‘see the woods for the trees’
  • Getting ready for/responding to a change in circumstances
  • Self-maintenance
  • Topping up existing high performance

Choosing A Coach

Coaching is an investment in yourself so it’s important to choose well. When researching, always ask about qualifications and experience. Also enquire about most recent CPD (continuous professional development) and for client testimonials. We are always happy to share this information with prospective clients.

What’s the investment?

Consultations are free and you are under no obligation to buy afterwards. The consultation is for the coach to understand your needs. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and ensure you feel comfortable.

About Micarlib Coaches

Coaching with Michelle

Michelle’s work experience has been all about finding and implementing solutions and helping organisations navigate change. This comes through in her approach to personal coaching and she enjoys supporting clients to take action to become more effective or pursue new goals. She has an intuitive style, using the energy from the coaching relationship to determine how you proceed through the programme

Michelle will only take on clients she truly believes she can help and only accepts clients who are fully committed to doing the work that coaching involves. She is not a therapist or counsellor and will be honest with you if coaching is unsuitable for your needs.

Michelle has over a decade of coaching experience, holds an ILM Level 5 in Executive Coaching & Mentoring and attends regular CPD and coaching supervision. She is also a Supervision Facilitator, supporting other coaches to reflect on their practise.

Coaching with Adrian

Adrian is also an experienced coach. He has undertaken the Extreme Execution coaching course run by ‘Hip Hop Preacher’ Eric Thomas, the Teacher Effectiveness Enhancement Programme (TEEP) Level 2, Big Leadership Adventure and is a Resilient Leaders Elements practitioner.

Adrian has over twenty years experience working in Education and is also a Vice Chair of Governors. Using his experiences as a practitioner, combined with his studies in Character Education (MA) and Resilient Leaders Elements, he can help educators to navigate the politics, problems and personalities that stop them from doing a great job in the classroom or the boardroom.

Coaching and mentoring sessions can be delivered outside of office/school hours. They are held online and clients will need access to FaceTime or Microsoft Teams. Face to face sessions, in the West Midlands area, are available on request, additional charges apply.
